We had another great day!

We practiced our writing as we are making our own non-fiction book about penguins!

Then we learned about splitting a number equally with our penguin game. We checked to see which numbers could be shared equally between each penguin.

Happy New Year!

We had a great day back at class today! We enjoyed getting new groups for our desks and a new spot on the carpet!

Our new theme for this month is Arctic Animals :)

We are starting our week with penguins.

We listened to penguin calls and read different stories about penguins. We are learning the difference between fiction and non-fiction books so we read one book about penguins in real life and another about penguins that could not happen in real life.

We also played one of our favorite games, I have, who has.

The daily orange folders are being replaced with the manila folders. You can write any notes to me on the paper inside the folder.

We had an amazing party today!

First we wrote a book about how to build a gingerbread house. Which the teacher promptly forgot to send home today :(

Then we got to try our skills and decorate our own houses! They kids had so much fun. They all worked so hard and did a great job.

Then we got to celebrate Annalise's birthday with a pizza lunch and some yummy brownies.

Santa Beards

I just had to share this super fun activity we did today with you!
For music class, Mrs. Behringer played a game with the kids that most of them loved.

The teachers helped to spread a little Vaseline on each willing participants chin.
We did have some friends who were not so excited for this part :)

Then they stuck their face is a bowl of cotton balls to make a pretend beard!

So much fun!

I had to make a slide show to document it. Sorry some of the pictures are blurry, I was laughing so hard I could barely hold my camera :)

Happy Birthday Seth

We had a great day working on Christmas activities and going to chapel.

We are on Christmas countdown mode and we are VERY excited about our Gingerbread House party on Friday!

Today we also got to celebrate Seth's birthday!
He brought us a yummy cupcake cake and we all had a super fun time celebrating him!
