Merry Christmas!

We had an amazing party today!

First we wrote a book about how to build a gingerbread house. Which the teacher promptly forgot to send home today :(

Then we got to try our skills and decorate our own houses! They kids had so much fun. They all worked so hard and did a great job.

Then we got to celebrate Annalise's birthday with a pizza lunch and some yummy brownies.

Santa Beards

I just had to share this super fun activity we did today with you!
For music class, Mrs. Behringer played a game with the kids that most of them loved.

The teachers helped to spread a little Vaseline on each willing participants chin.
We did have some friends who were not so excited for this part :)

Then they stuck their face is a bowl of cotton balls to make a pretend beard!

So much fun!

I had to make a slide show to document it. Sorry some of the pictures are blurry, I was laughing so hard I could barely hold my camera :)

Happy Birthday Seth

We had a great day working on Christmas activities and going to chapel.

We are on Christmas countdown mode and we are VERY excited about our Gingerbread House party on Friday!

Today we also got to celebrate Seth's birthday!
He brought us a yummy cupcake cake and we all had a super fun time celebrating him!

The Jolly Christmas Postman

This week we have a lot of fun and exciting activities planned as we get ready to celebrate Christmas!

We are reading the book The Jolly Christmas Postman and each day this week we will be getting letters from our favorite story characters!

Today we got a letter from Pete the Cat. It was so exciting!

Rainy Day Fun!

We had a busy and exciting day that was filled with energy :)

Since it was raining we spent lunch in our class and had a fun picnic.

I can't wait to see you all tonight for our Angel Chorus show.
Remember meet at 6:45 in room A dressed in white :)

Author visit

We had a great visit with Miss Mona the author yesterday!

She read us some of her stories and talked to us about how she uses her imagination to create her stories.

Angel Chorus is Coming Soon!

 Just a quick reminder that our Christmas Show "Angel Chorus" is this coming Thursday, December 13th at 7:00pm.

Please have your little angel dressed in white and in ROOM A by 6:45pm.

You won't want to miss this, it is so cute!

If for some reason you know you won't be able to be there, please let me know as soon as possible because each child has a special part in the show :)

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas!

We had so much fun getting our Christmas tree set up today!

We also had a great time at music class ringing bells and playing rhythm sticks to Christmas songs!

Peppermint Palooza

Well, this post was supposed to be done on Friday but... the Christmas Parade took precedence :)

We had a great time finishing up peppermint week and even had a special treat of peppermint ice cream. YUMMY!

We loved reading our Peppermint Stick reader and acting out our poem.

It's Almost Christmas!

With our Christmas countdown about to begin, we are already busy creating and celebrating. We had a great day working on our vowel sounds and going to music class.

 We will be finishing up peppermint week tomorrow, so I wanted to share with you one of our favorite videos we have watched learning about how real candy canes are made. 

Yesterday we were thinking of how fun it would be to live in a candy house! Enjoy the fabulous ideas the kids came up with :)

Who loves peppermint?

Well it is unanimous... We all love candy canes in this class! We made a graph just to be sure :)

We have been practicing for our Christmas show which will be Thursday December 13th at 7:00 pm. You won't want to miss this show :)

We are talking about shapes and three dimensional shapes (cube, cone, sphere and cylinder). We continue to practice our color words and sight words and and are having fun decorating our classroom.

Next week we will having lots of gingerbread fun! My favorite :)

Peppermint Fun

We are having a great week! We have been working with peppermint a this week and are having so much fun!

Today we did math the red and green peppermints and practices with a worksheet.

We are making decorations for our classroom and learned why the candy came is so special!

Yesterday we had a special guest author come read to our class. Mrs. Williams who wrote "Angel Chorus" read us the story we will be performing for our Christmas play.

We had  great party today!

We had fun Thanksgiving centers and celebrated by making a pumpkin pie treat!

The recipe was sent home today along with all of the activities we completed :)
